NEVER AGAIN!

Wow ! what a weekend, and all for the wrong reasons, mental note to self NEVER go to an event with inlaws when you could have sat at home, yes sitting at home is better than going with them anywhere!
they just kept on going with the comments and about everything, you see one comment is fine, 2 okay bearable, but constant nit picking can actually drive you crazy! Nothing is good enough! the best part is I am just getting on with MY life, THEIR way but still its not enough, I get on with things and then they upset me with their comments and then have the nerve to ask why I am down, i think it is guilt on their part, so why say those things in the first place.

Anyway I am gonna disappear for a while to my private blog, so InshaAllah I hope to catch up with people soon.

Salam wa alaykum sister,

Subhannallah wow. I can't believe all the drama you have to deal with when it comes to inlaws. I never even met mine in person. I am guessing from my husband that they are laid back and kind and I talk to them and his sisters on the phone now and then. We are planning on traveling to his country in a year. I hope it wont be like this, and I hope your challenges with them get easier. Good job for standing up for yourself. I don't know if this is a desi thing (im half indian) but there seems to be some belief that older folks have the right to just be plain mean and nasty to us as if that should constitute the foundation of the relationship of an elder. ugggh.

Nice blog though sis
